Terms & Conditions

Last updated: July 9, 2026

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before using the courier and parcel delivery services offered by Janani Express ("we", "us", "our", or "the Company"). These terms apply to all bookings made at our physical booking offices across Bangladesh.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By booking a parcel with us, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Courier Service Scope

We provide courier and parcel delivery services across all 64 districts of Bangladesh. All parcels are handled, transported, and delivered entirely by our own employees, branches, vehicles, and transportation network. We do not outsource parcel handling or delivery to third-party logistics providers.

3. Parcel Booking Process

Parcels can currently be booked only by visiting one of our physical booking offices. Online booking is not available at this time. At the time of booking, our staff will record the sender's and receiver's details along with information about the parcel to generate a booking receipt and tracking reference.

4. Customer Responsibilities

As a customer, you are responsible for providing accurate information, packaging your parcel appropriately, and ensuring that the contents comply with our policies and applicable law.

5. Accurate Information Requirement

You must provide accurate and complete information about the sender, receiver, and parcel contents at the time of booking. We are not responsible for delivery delays, misdelivery, or other issues arising from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the customer.

6. Prohibited and Illegal Items

The following items, among others, are strictly prohibited from being sent through our courier service:

  • Illegal drugs and controlled substances
  • Explosives, firearms, and ammunition
  • Radioactive or hazardous materials
  • Counterfeit goods
  • Perishable items not suitably packaged
  • Any item prohibited under the laws of Bangladesh

We reserve the right to refuse, inspect, or hold any parcel suspected of containing prohibited or illegal items.

7. Packaging Responsibilities

The customer is responsible for properly packaging the parcel to withstand normal handling and transportation. We may, at our discretion, refuse to accept a parcel that is inadequately packaged or may recommend additional packaging for fragile or valuable items.

8. Delivery Attempts

We will make reasonable attempts to deliver each parcel to the address provided by the sender. If a delivery attempt is unsuccessful due to an incorrect address, an unavailable receiver, or other reasons outside our control, we will attempt to contact the sender or receiver to arrange re-delivery or collection from the nearest branch.

9. Delivery Time Estimates

Estimated delivery times provided at the time of booking are approximate and not guaranteed. Actual delivery times may vary due to distance, weather, road conditions, or other factors beyond our reasonable control.

10. Shipment Tracking

A tracking reference will be provided at the time of booking, which customers can use to check the status of their shipment.

11. Charges and Payment

Delivery charges are calculated based on factors such as parcel weight, size, declared value, and destination, and are communicated to the customer at the time of booking. Payment terms (advance payment, cash on delivery, or other arrangements) will be confirmed at the booking office.

12. Parcel Inspection Rights

Where required by law or as part of our safety and security procedures, we reserve the right to inspect the contents of any parcel, particularly for sensitive, high-value, or restricted shipments.

13. Identity Verification Requirements

For sensitive, high-value, restricted, or legally regulated shipments, we may require the sender or receiver to present a National ID (NID) or other government-issued identification as part of our verification process.

14. Loss, Damage, and Compensation Policy

We take reasonable care in handling every parcel. In the event a parcel is lost or damaged while in our custody due to our negligence, we will address the matter in accordance with our internal compensation policy, which may take into account the declared value of the parcel at the time of booking. Compensation is not applicable for items that were inaccurately declared, improperly packaged, or prohibited under these Terms.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the use of our services, including but not limited to loss of business, profits, or opportunity. Our total liability for any claim relating to a parcel shall not exceed the declared value of that parcel or the applicable compensation limit set by us, whichever is lower.

16. Force Majeure

We shall not be held responsible for delays, loss, or failure to perform our obligations due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, civil unrest, government restrictions, or other unforeseeable circumstances.

17. Cancellation Policy

A booking may be cancelled by the customer before the parcel has been dispatched from the booking office, subject to confirmation by our staff. Once a parcel has entered transit, cancellation may not be possible.

18. Refund Policy

Where applicable, refunds for cancelled bookings or undelivered parcels will be processed in accordance with our internal refund procedures, as communicated by our booking office staff at the time of the transaction.

19. Privacy Commitment

We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information.

20. Intellectual Property

All logos, trademarks, branding, and content associated with Janani Express are the property of the Company and may not be used, reproduced, or distributed without our prior written consent.

21. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Bangladesh.

22. Dispute Resolution

In the event of any dispute arising from the use of our services, we encourage customers to first contact us directly so that we may resolve the matter amicably. If a resolution cannot be reached, the dispute shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Bangladesh.

23. Updates to Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our services or applicable law. Any updates will be posted on this page along with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
